This beautiful glycerin soap bar is created over a 4-hour period! It begins with basic hot process soap-making. Once the hot process soap is completely saponified, it is mashed and the soap crystals are dissolved using a high grain alcohol content solvent (Everclear). The solvent phase soap mixture then “cooks” until the water and the grain alcohol are evaporated and the translucent glycerin soap remains. The soap is then poured into molds, and cured for 4-6 weeks.
Why go to all this trouble? Because glycerin soap is the Queen of soaps. It’s perfect for any skin-type; but especially for sensitive and dry skin. Super mild; super skin-loving; glycerin is known as a humectant. That means it helps reinforce the moisture barrier between your skin and the harsh outside world. And, it won’t strip your skin of its natural oils!
